Pupils working on the Phase 3 pathway will continue to consolidate their Phase 2 knowledge and begin learning Phase 3 vowel digraphs and trigraphs (give examples) in a systematic way. Within this pathway pupils will develop independent blending and silent blending skills to begin to develop their fluency of reading words in Phase 2 books.
