Pupils working on the Phase 4 pathway will continue to consolidate their previous learning of the Phase 2 and 3 sounds. They will begin to secure this knowledge and be able to read more complex words containing these sounds. They will apply this knowledge when writing dictated sentences. In order to ensure that we are providing a truly personalised curriculum and approach, we group pupils in a range of ways. This maybe as a whole class (in their own class or across several classes); smaller groups or on a one to one basis.
